Ottawa – Ms. Ruth-Ellen Brosseau, Member of Parliament for Berthier–Maskinongé, was eager to begin the parliamentary session today in Ottawa.
“I am determined to begin the parliamentary session with the dedication that the people of my riding deserve. Over the coming months, I promise to defend the interests of the people of my riding, and those of Quebeckers and of Canadians. I will work hard to accomplish this, as I am doing now. Mr. Layton taught us courage and perseverance. We are now going to roll up our sleeves and work together to ensure that the NDP forms the next government in four years,” said Ms. Brosseau.

“The residents of my riding can count on me to listen to their concerns and to hear about their projects so I can represent them and promote local and regional issues. Mr. Layton believed in me as well, which is something I am very proud of. Several challenges are facing us this year, but I am confident that my colleagues and I will be able to meet them head on,” added Ms. Brosseau.
